The Vajrayana Buddhist Cultural Spiritual Space – Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling Vietnam, the heart of Samten Hills Dalat has been created under the guidance of H.E. THE WORLD'S LARGEST PRAYER WHEEL DRIGUNG KAGYU RINCHEN KHORCHEN KHORWE GO GEK

Within this cultural and spiritual Buddhist space, sits The World’s Largest Prayer Wheel Drigung Kagyu Rinchen Khorchen Khorwe Go Gek. According to Buddhist scriptures, where there is a prayer wheel on a high mountain, it is a peaceful place of the Buddhist bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. Every movement of the prayer wheel radiates the love, healing power, and positive energy of the Buddhas of the ten directions.  The power of these mantras brings happiness, peace to humanity, and prosperity to the country.

The world’s largest prayer wheel was built by the H.E . Drubwang Sonam Jorfel Rinpoche, and is located in Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling Vietnam, in Samten Hills Dalat. The record was officially verified on the 11th of December, 2022 by the Guinness World Records organization. The world’s largest prayer wheel is made of bronze, and covered with 24k gold. Inside the prayer wheel are countless Om Mani Padme Hung mantras and many other holy mantras, all printed on thin paper. Additionally, the wheel holds many other auspicious items, as well.

The Great Prayer Wheel is a compassionate method of awakening the loving heart and mind already present within us, aspirations of noble monks with the single purpose of benefiting all sentient beings, manifestation of the aspiration of all Buddhists on the journey following Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, the greatest spiritual teacher of humanity.

The moment we touch the prayer wheel, each of us will find silence within us. In unison, we rotate the wheel with countless Sanskrit mantras of Buddhist bodhisattvas; we unite with the universe, to spread the energy of love and compassion to all humanity.

AMITAYUS (LONG – LIFE) BUDDHA

Amitayus, a Buddha of Longevity, symbolizes the energy that brings health and long-life to all sentient beings. Amitayus Buddha is the enjoyment body (sambhogakaya) of Amitabha Buddha. 

Life is the most precious thing we have. There are many different powers that exist in the sacred universe and these powers can manifest into the general appearance of Buddha. Pray for a healthy, long and happy life in front of the appearance of Amitayus Buddha to feel the positive energy of health and life. The Amitayus Buddha statue is 10.5m tall located at the Vajrayana Buddhist Cultural and Spiritual Space Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling, the heart of Samten Hills Dalat.  Having a large, outdoor, bronze statue of Amitayus Buddha is a unique and rare appearance in Vietnam.

MAITREYA (THE FUTURE) BUDDHA

Maitreya Buddha is next Buddha who will come to Earth. In Sanskrit, Maitreya means “love” or “friendliness”. He is considered the 5th Buddha of the Five Buddhas.  Maitreya Buddha will come after Buddha Shakyamuni; and is also the last Buddha who will come down to Earth in this eon.

The statue of Maitreya Buddha located in Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling – The Vajrayana Buddhist Cultural and Spiritual and Space – the heart of Samten Hills Dalat is a symbol of the willingness to wake up and enter the world to teach sentient beings. The statue of Maitreya Buddha in pure bronze has a size of 10.5m tall, is one of the Maitreya Buddha statues in the standard Vajrayana Buddhist form.

 Walking with mindfulness around the Maitreya Buddha Statue is a way to pay respect to the future Buddha.

VAJRAYANA BUDDHIST SPIRITUAL CULTURAL SPACE

The Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling Gallery is the center of the complex of devotional art in the Spiritual and Cultural Space of Vajrayana Buddhism. The space was completed in accord with the tradition of Vajrayana Buddhist art. It was crafted by artisans from India and Nepal, which are both the homelands of the Buddha, right here, in Vietnam.

With a compassionate heart and sincere aspirations, H.E. Drubwang Sonam Jorfel Rinpoche has guided the creation of The Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling Gallery Buddhist Heritage Gallery with the purpose of propagating the teachings of the Buddha, bringing happiness to all sentient beings, and thereby illuminating the world with peace, joy, and boundless meritorious deeds.

The main statue in the center is statue of Buddha Shakyamuni. In addition, there are many different large and small statues. At the top, in the middle, and at the base of the wall are beautiful pictures of Mandalas, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and masters of the Drigung Kagyu Dharma Lineage. Similarly, there is also a collection of Buddha’s Dharma teachings: both the collection of sutras and tantras, and the commentarial collection are placed on two shelves, on the two sides of the shrine.
